Four legs running the Hastings Half

We’re a pretty fit and healthy bunch at ifour HQ with many of us tracking our daily activities with fitbits and smart watches. But two team members are going one step beyond, as they take on the Hastings Half Marathon on the 18th March.

Claimed as “Probably the best Half Marathon in the World”, voted by both Men’s Running and Women’s Running Magazines, its now in its 34th year.

Both Naomi and Chris are no strangers to long distance running as Naomi has completed the gruelling Loch Ness full marathon in 2013 and many more halves and Chris took to stunning Stockholm to complete a full marathon in 2010.  Back on home turf in Hastings, our pair will be joining 4,000 other runners to take to the challenging course that circumnavigates the ancient town of Hastings. Starting at the seafront, the course follows the route of William the Conqueror towards Battle, heads on to the Famous ‘Old Town’ and fishing village of Hastings before the final straight back along the seafront for the finish by the promenade.

As the last week of training intensifies Naomi and Chris are often seen running around the Tunbridge Wells common in their lunch break to cram in the valuable training hours. To date have clocked up a total of 16 hours training in lunch hours alone!

They are running to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Unfortunately this is a disease that many of us are affected by in someway, if not directly then we certainly know someone who has. Naomi and Chris are both supporting Cancer Research in the hope that their donations goes a little way to fund life saving research into prevention and maybe, in time, even a cure.
