Kent County Council: Looking for the cream of creative talent

Following an invitation to tender for the KCCs ‘Creative Services’ framework last year, we are extremely pleased to announce that we were successful with our submission and are now one of eight agencies on the multi-supplier list, which has an estimated project value of £500k per annum.

Suppliers are required to provide effective, creative marketing campaign and communication services. Delivering tailored marketing solutions for the council and its four directorates that include: Social Care, Health and Wellbeing; Education and Young People’s Services; Growth, Environment and Transport; and lastly Strategic and Corporate Services.

There were six different lots to tender for, covering marketing communications, graphic design, artwork, audio/visual, copywriting and video. While our in-house capabilities cover all of these areas, we decided that our strengths lay in focusing purely on the marketing communications and related services ‘lot’ that covers, ideas and conceptual development, creative design and implementation.

As with all government procurement tenders, we knew there was a strict evaluation process, so we needed to ensure preparation of our submission was carefully considered and ticked all of the required boxes. For those that have taken part in a ITT such as this, you will be aware that it is a time consuming process and yet one that, delivered correctly, will bring benefits to the tune of three years of potential projects – so not an opportunity that could be missed.

With a ‘meet and greet’ appointment in the diary we are looking forward to meeting the KCC team and, following that, taking part in the mini competitions to ultimately tender and win specific projects.
