What we did to fix the Heartbleed bug for our clients

You have probably read or seen in the press that there is an internet-wide security vulnerability called ‘Heartbleed’. Heartbleed affects the OpenSSL framework which is used by many websites to privately send data to and from an internet server.

Not every website uses this system so many will not be affected. For our client’s websites that use OpenSSL we have taken preventative measures to ensure your systems are completely safe from Heartbleed.

  • We deployed the updated OpenSSL libraries immediately.
  • We then renewed all of our SSL certificates for each site.
  • We manually ensured all websites using this system were covered in the update as an additional precaution.

If you are worried your old website is out dated or would like a review of your current user experience, including data security, why not give us a call on 01892 541111, email us at hello@ifour.co.uk or visit our design agency studio in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
