Celebrating a decade of the Global Payments Report (GPR), Worldpay wanted its 2025 edition to strike a delicate balance: reaffirm its authority as a thought leader while showing humility and acknowledging the industry’s evolving nature. The report needed to reflect on past predictions, highlight successes, and explore miscalculations while setting the stage for the next five years. 

This milestone moment called for a compelling narrative, visually engaging content, and a forward-thinking approach that would captivate industry experts and new audiences. Enter ifour.

The approach

ifour collaborated with Worldpay to elevate GPR2025 into a defining statement on the future of payments. Building on the success of GPR2024’s “People-Powered Payments” theme, ifour created a forward-looking narrative that combined data-driven insights with a human-centered approach. 

The team also introduced a “How Did We Do?” scorecard for transparent assessment while maintaining Worldpay’s confident tone. The design featured striking charts and a modern aesthetic, making complex data digestible and ensuring a smooth transition from historical analysis to visionary forecasting.

The solution

A bold statement in payments innovation

ifour delivered a report that effectively combined past, present, and future insights. The future-gazing theme offers a golden thread through the report that avoids navel-gazing. Instead, it highlights Worldpay’s accurate predictions and addresses industry changes and disruptors like economic shifts and regulatory developments while acknowledging where some predictions fell short.

To support the launch, we created dynamic assets to maximise engagement, including teaser videos and trend highlight clips that showcased the report’s key findings. Engaging social media content, such as carousels, GIFs, and static images, sparked industry conversations, while paid media templates and email banners broadened our digital reach and promoted downloads. Additionally, a standardised GPR PowerPoint deck was provided for Worldpay teams to ensure consistent messaging and effectively present insights throughout the year.
